MSN Virus Fix

This virus is received by clicking on a link from one of your MSN Buddies! The message will be similar to
“Is this a picture of you? 
” Followed by a link that looks like “http://www.msnimages.net/images/viewimage.php?=youremail@hotmail.com”
You are now infected with a nasty virus and have just sent it to everyone of your friends! 
Steps To Remove:
1. Uninstall all things MSN from your system.
2. Go to: Start>Run
3. Type msconfig
4. Go to: Start up tab.
5. Un-click MSNMSGR
6. Click apply.
7. (System will request a reboot) Please Reboot.
8. Run MSNCleaner Version 1.5.5 ( you can find a link to it: http://tech.firdooze.com/2008/01/23/how-to-remove-msn-virus-from-your-computer/)
9. Run MSNCleaner by clicking on the Analyze button.
10. It will find a file called: usreg.dat.
11. Delete that file by clicking on the delete button.
12. Do a deep clean with your virus scanner of choice. (I know that Mcafee has a signature for this virus already.)
Test that your virus and been destroyed:
The virus does not allow the user to hit the following sites”
If you can hit these site you are home free! Else you will see a directory service listing error.
